so is this her tragic flaw
lies and dishonesty, stemming from every pore
overlapping concoction of masks and a
beautiful eloquent speech of misconceptions,
segmentation of truth like a corset,
reveal the desired, the wanted, and that is

her hamartia, when you become
a need not a want
when denial of defeat
and ambitions of this complete
doomed protagonist, you've cast a spell upon her
you create endless catastrophes, obstacles
and she falls deeply each time for your mind games

because every time her heart beats
mimicking the echo of your footsteps
it beats for those repressed memories
because as you walk out of her life
becoming another distant past
easily forgotten and stashed away
like her dress ups and tea sets
because she cannot remember the last time
she could forget
